There are too many ways to answer that question without more information. Some things to think about, and then people can make reccomendations:

1. What Operating System (Linux/NT/Solaris/BSD)?
2. What Location (US/Europe/Asia)?
3. How Much Bandwidth Do You Need?
4. Your Price Range?
5. How Much Assistance Do You Need with the Server?

It is also a good idea to rank these in order of importance, if price is more important than support then the answer will be different then if the price is secondary to service or location, etc.

I can tell you that people on the board are generally happy with RackShack, RackSpace, RackMy, Ventures Online, Pwebtech, and others I am sure I am missing.

Sorry I was a bit vague.

1. Linux
2. USA
3. 100Gb Data Transfer
4. Will consider any price
5. Basic Support

Go with RackShack.net

Although their technicians stink once in a while (eSPECially for IP allocation: I've been waiting for an extra IP for my DNS server for over 4-5 days now! ), their prices are unbeatable.
Support is good (chatroom, ICQ etc.) so I say:

GA FOR IT :)
