This is a very small job, i do believe, heres the problem.
(Bare with me, im not much of a tech guru)

I have a domain registered at directnic, i have my proper nameservers inserted and everything, however i have found it Impossible to setup any mail accounts!

Everytime i try to send and recieve mail, it gives the same error, 'nameserver timeout'.

I've even changed the entire server from windows, to raq, and i still get the same error.

Is this a directnic problem?
Has anybody else ever experienced such a problem?

I dont even know where else to look, the only thing i have tried is to change the server.

Please let me know if you have a solution, im not sure what a small job like this is worth, but tell me and ill pay the fair price.

Please PM Me.

Thanks

Where is your DNS? could be the TTL [Time To Live] entry in your MX record is very low

Hope it helps

I've often had many problems with getting email accounts to work when hosting my own domain...

my best advice is to email the tech support for your host and ask them exactly what information they want...

For instance, on one domain I was using instead of using just my username to login I had to use my username%domain.net
It was quite pointless but once I changed that I stopped getting a "Server Connection Failure" message with a "New Mail!" message...

Hope this helps...

Heres what i have done in the past.
Check out /etc/resolv.conf
and make sure your configurations are all correct.
Second if that dosen't work
Who is your isp ?

Hope that helps.

Also, make sure that email is included in your hosting package... sometimes ISPs will not include that unless you pay extra fees...
