What if I wanna install PHP and MySQL to a RaQ server *but* I screw up? (I can't say what "screw up" really mean coz I never tried using a RaQ... Installing stuffs in Windows 98 often "screw up"... thats what I mean)

In Windows I can easily uninstall stuffs if they "screw up" or just I don't want it anymore. But what about in RaQ?

Also, I can always format my HD in my own computer and reinstall the Windows easily, what about in RaQ? Is it gonna be a nightmare?

Thanks! :)

Well, it depends on the level of this screw up. Usually, yes, it will be just like Windows, you can get rid of it if you are careful during the install.

But RaQs are very sensitive. If you were to do something wrong, Apache might stop working. Although if you get stuck and/or screw up, you can post here and we can pretty much help you fix it.

If you REALLY screw up, you'll have to hookup a new machine and order a Cobalt Restore disk (about $100 I think). That'll set your cobalt to new. But that won't happen if you are careful and follow the instructions.

actually if you installed by an RPM you can simply uninstall the RPM and that should fix it. and i've seen restore CD's run as little as $30 and you hosting provider should have one, and if not make them get one...that's like not have the WIN 2k CD's.
