I wanted to request some additional IP's, and I got this message:

Dear Valued Customer,

We have received your request and you have been approved; however,
the subnet that you are on is not allowing anymore IP's to be
added.. In order to add additional IP's we will need to move your
server to another subnet. This will in effect change the Ip's that
you currently have. When the changes take effect .. you will need
to also change the DNS and any current IP's you have will also
change.. Also in order to move you to a new subnet. we will need
you premission.. Please respond for faster resolution

Best Regards,
RackShack IP Approved Team

What should I do so that my customers experience the least amount of downtime? This is really frustrating!

Best way to keep from having much down time is get all your ducks in a row beforehand or if you can afford it, another box..

Unless someone else on his subnet wants more and thus has to move to get them, thus freeing a few up :D
