Actually I have an acoount with venturesonline.
Just to secure the constant work of e-mail where my company is very dependant - I want to open a "mirror" account.
So - very cheap. Of course as reliable as possible.
And - different upstream provider with VO.
So something like webguyz.ws, cyberwings.com, valuablehost.com ( or your suggestion? )
But how do I define an upstream providers of all of them?
Hi,
What do you mean by "how do I define an upstream providers of all" ?
I believe VO is with Verio. Just look for a host that uses another upstream provider such as AT&T, Worldcom, Level3, etc, etc. :)

VO left (leaving) Verio.
And not every host ( almost none ) shows his upstream provider on their sites.
Sorry apresmidi, didn't know VO was leaving Verio. I know most hosts do not show the info, but you can always email and ask!

That was just the kernel of my question. What is the tool ( tracert or something like that ) which help to define it without direct contact to save time to the one who search and to the one's who has those e-mail answer.
Sorry :D
You can go here:
http://www.network-tools.com/
First determine the IP of the host by pinging the domain, then enter the IP and do a Network Lookup. You will get the upstream provider that way :)

That or:
http://www.arin.net/
Will take an IP and tell you who owns the block.

A couple of things:
1. Make sure you run the traceroutes from two different locations. Mant hosts have multiple backbone feeds, so they amy have two or three upstream providers.
2. An ARIN lookup may be useful, but if a provider has swipped the IP block to the host, then the owner of the block will show up as the host.
