I don't know how many people here play Counter-Strike. If there are enough, maybe someone that has the equipment and a good connection could setup one or two dedicated Counter-Strike servers with statistics and make it available for WHT members?

I play counterstrike and we have been thinking on setting one of these up.

We already have a Warcraft 3 Beta server running, but this is only for us dorks at nintendorks.com ;)

We have a network of them.....

However, both servers are down right now due to a few problems. Should be up by next week.

I just hope the release of 1.4 will eliminate all cheaters. If they can decrease the cheating, it's a very good and fun game to play.

We know that isn't going to happen....

Unfortunately, CS stays cheater free for about 1-2 weeks before some hacks it. *sighs*

Ive got a spare server not being used just now, and a couple of hundred gb of bandiwdth unused as well

It would be great if the server was somewhere on the east coast (specially New York) so that people from Europe don't get a too way high ping.

By the way, can someone provide an URL to this Medal Of Honor game?

If someone has a server spair in nac that would probably be better for the europeans than the affordablecolo one.

Which mission are you on Chris?

Medal of Honour is good on a lan, but seems to lag really bad on my 64k internet compared to other games.

Snoozy, if you get to setup a CS server, don't forget to install Paladin or something equivalent.

I don't know if the servers are supposed to be working or not. I can't connect to any of the ports. Maybe this is the reason:

I don't know the name but its in a dark city... and all of a sudden this truck come out with like 10 guys and the mow me down... its pretty far through the game... Ill try to find out the mission name....
My favourite level is Omaha online!Its sweet!check it out!

That sounds like the church where you've got to take the downed pilot to the resistance.
Good Level.

Omaha Beach is good, but is my least favourite, The Bridge is cool.

Also Alan(Splashhost) I have same problems with my 64k connection, but is still playable on a good server.

It's a fantastic game, let me know if you guys are on and we'll meet up :)

Phhhh... set up some Medal of Honor or Renegade.

The bridge is a very small level I think.. Stalingrad is a cool level its like speed ball....

Not once Valve releases their anti-cheat software, build-in to HL and CS retail.

Cheaters will be banned by WONID permanately from ALL multiplayer activity :).

The only way to get around that is get another CD-Key every couple of days as they ban them permanately... They'll never find enough keys :).

That would be BAD! People pay $29-39 and get banned permanently for a hack catcher? Best to just ban the user from that server. Not trying to defend the cheaters, but do you see the flaw? I can just go down to my local internet cafe and grab a few cd-keys easily.

I have a better idea, like if a cheater is detected, the WONID would get a red flag or something and the server owners can choose if they want to let in people with this red flag. The red flag should stay for about 1 month or something from the last date that user cheated.

So when can we start playing?

They'll be real time stats and you can check your ranking by doing /skill ingame.

I'd rather have no CS in internet cafes than have cheaters everywhere.

Server 1 is down, I really need a restart script lol, I'll do that tonight.
