Check out Avaya (Lucent) Parter or Magix system. They are pretty inexpensive and pack a lot of features.

www.accessline.com does exactly what you want for under $60 a month. ($35 for the plan, and $10 for 2 additional mailboxes each).

Hi,
esaonline.com give you a 800 number (888) with all the feature you need for $29 + $10 per extension.
Thanks for the replies
- The Magix System is just too expensive for my one man show here. Looks like a great choice as my company grows.
- Accessline.com looks good. I have seen a few services like this, however don't really want to got the service route. Paying monthly and such.
??
I remember a while back (about a year) I saw a unit at Staples or OfficeMax that you could plug up like a answering machine. It had the features I was looking for but I have not seen it since. Tried looking through their sites and looked in the stores but have not seen it. Anyone heard of this product?
Thanks!!!

You can get toll-free #s without a monthly (i.e. @ myown800) but don't put too much thought in finding a non-monthly service where they offer a virtual operator and more than one voice mail box (if any at all).
If you want a cheap solution, I would go with uReach.com. You can have a 877 toll-free #, 1 voice mail box, and forwarding options for as little as $6.99 per month w/ a 30 day free-trial (setup is automatic). The downfall: no virtual operator/calldesk to pick up, 1 voice mail box, and no extensions. Great service nonetheless. And at the price, you could just get multiple #s if you'd like.
But, if you insist on going with the type of plan you're looking for ... accessline.com is the best bet or freedomvoice.com for a little bit more $$ (although accessline is better, I just want to give you some comparisons).
