It comes from Western Samoa. I do not know if it is good. I only know that it is not cheap.

Western Samoa?

--Why choose .WS (WebSite)?
An all-purpose TLD if there ever was one! .WS (WebSite) is another great way to snag a short, catchy name. It's a must-have addition for any domains you currently have registered, too.
According to Godaddy.com

Yes. Although it is more known as WebSite, it is the country extension of Western Samoa.

yeah, its westerm samoa, the "website" bit is just a marketting ploy (like .tm is turkmenistan, not "trademark")

By telling people it stands for website they make alot more sales, but its officially western samoa

besides....WS can stand for whatever you want hehe

The price can be as low as a .com - pricing depends on the registrar you use.

WS stands for Western Samoa but its being marketed as WebSite.

I wouldn't wast my money if I were you unless cash is no big deal. If that is the case then go ahead and pick up some .ws, .cc, .in, .de, etc, etc and maybe one day the rest of the world will realize that other extensions exist besides .com, .net, and .org.
