Working with a client where the email on their domain registration is invalid, and they have no idea how to update nameservers, etc. nor do they have login information to manage the name with the registrar (Tucows).

How is this handled when nothing can be confirmed via email as that email box can no longer be accessed?

You should contact the Tucows reseller with which your client registered their domain. They will have some protocol (such as faxing them some doc to prove ownership) that you can follow in order to modify the Admin Contact and/or reset the password.

Thank you much, done! BTW, your link in your sig doesn't work for HostHideout. :stickout:
