DigitalXWeb 02-28-2002, 01:14 AM n/m Relyc 02-28-2002, 03:40 AM You're advertising a site that sells spy software...Please do not tell me I'm the only one that has a problem with that? I might also add that I just removed some crap from my computer that kept sending me to your pages. (You will run into many problems, especially on webhostingtalk where there are people like myself that actually monitor their computer) joel 02-28-2002, 07:26 AM Reply C, 1. Yes, one of the sites I sell, sells Spy S/W. I do not suggest that this is a product that everyone should use or not, It is only one of many sites I sell and won't be for everone. I also sell casino sites that those opposed to gambling might object to. No sites I sell deal in illegal products or services ... or anything close. 2. You said, "I might also add that I just removed some crap from my computer that kept sending me to your pages." PLEASE let me know what you are talking about? I just uploaded this website this week and I have no idea what you are referring to. There is nothing that I am aware of that should do that. Thanks! For some reason there was software on my computer that kept opening to a site that looked *exactly* like yours. joel 02-28-2002, 11:54 AM Thanks, for your reply. I do not how to respond. I did not & would not put any software on my website that in any way does what you suggest. If you can give me any more information, I will investigate further. I have not any other complaints. Please let me know if you have any further information. joel 03-01-2002, 11:43 AM I'm welcome any comments on what I'm offering, good, bad or ugly. Thanks! DigitalXWeb 03-01-2002, 02:19 PM Originally posted by joel I'm welcome any comments on what I'm offering, good, bad or ugly. Thanks! Well when I first saw this post I did have an immediate comment which I posted above, after realizing this was in the advertising section I chose to edit out my post due to respect. Since you seem to not be getting any leads on this and I doubt you will, I will explain to why I think this is the case. The type of customer you are trying to target is not the type of people that frequent this forum. Probably about 75% of the members here are involved in one way or another in the hosting business and run legitimate companies, I dont think any legitimate company that wishes to keep their customer base will involve themselves in anything that promotes spy ware / spam or anything of that nature, in fact they downright despise it as you may have noticed from the lack of responses. I realize you are trying to offer this as a value added service to hosting companies, but most companies will not sell premade websites to customers, instead they will use an in house or third party web designer to develop it for the customer and design it to their specs. I would recommend rethinking your business model and perhaps advertise this offer someplace that atrracts the type of customer you would be targeting. I am not trying to flame you or insult you, you asked for an opinion and that is what I posted above. |
