Paul-UKWSD 02-27-2002, 08:11 PM Originally posted by TimPD Hello all you listeners out there :), I'm live on Web Hosting Radio.com!. Go there and click Listen and hear us live!. Jolly good! TimPD 02-27-2002, 08:27 PM Did any of ya listen to the show and like it?. Do you have any comments or suggestions. Get-Hosted.com 02-27-2002, 08:38 PM I missed it, o-well. Although this is semi-advertising, he isn't gaining much, if anything from doing this. It's just helping spread the word about WHR. I think this post is fine here. Alan - Vox 02-27-2002, 08:56 PM No good if only people with cable modems or similar can listen to it  Get-Hosted.com 02-27-2002, 09:14 PM That's a weird problem that has so far only happened today. It is rebufferring every 10 seconds for me. Before today it had never rebuffered once, and I'm on decent cable. So I doubt it was your connection, just a problem on Live365's side. Alan - Vox 02-27-2002, 09:16 PM It actually said i could listen to it because i only had a 56k modem and needed cable/dsl/t1 or similar Haze 02-27-2002, 09:22 PM Don't listent to Live365.. if its being broadcast at 32 Kbps ( like it was the other day ) you should be able to pick it up fine. However, I would suggest broadcasting at 24Kbps/22 mono ( not sterio ) if you want to go any lower. I can't listen in unfortunatly because of bandwidth limits here in Oz :( DigitalXWeb 02-27-2002, 10:15 PM Originally posted by Get-Hosted.com That's a weird problem that has so far only happened today. I think it may have been a connection problem on their end as I was also having problems connecting with my cable modem, so I figured it might have been that connection and popped over to the T1 line and still couldn't get on it.. So I would assume it was a problem with live365.. :( jimb 02-27-2002, 10:59 PM Originally posted by Get-Hosted.com That's a weird problem that has so far only happened today. Yeah same thing happened to me, it would be choppy then would rebuffer every minute. Hopefully its just a minor, short-term problem. Jim jic 02-27-2002, 11:04 PM It was doing that earlier for me but is running good today. Rewdog 02-27-2002, 11:59 PM Explanation: I sat down to watch tv for 5 mins and fell asleep for 4 hours so wasn't there to tell Tim what he was doing wrong and right. He set the bitrate way to high, even though I told him not to then didn't switch back to the rotation thus causing the off air downtime. Live and learn eh? Its back to normal, I need to order some more bawls ( www.bawls.com ) to keep me awake. Stay tuned to webhostingradio.com . Tim is making a new site and it will be much more feature packed, including being able to broadcast to listeners what's playing without having to post on WHT..... Tallon 02-28-2002, 03:26 AM I tried to listen but my home connection is just too cruddy :( I don't suppose you'd keep transcripts would you? Frosty 02-28-2002, 03:48 AM They are gonna loose their listeners...you guys should fix it...it only works for five minutes then the connection is lost all the time and ya can`t hear squat diddley. jic 02-28-2002, 03:56 AM Rewdog, Check out my buddies page :) http://www.allbawls.com http://www.mybawls.com hehe TimPD 02-28-2002, 02:36 PM Rewdog, I had the bitrate set at what you told me. So, everything was fine. Also, I turned on your broadcast that I recorded after the show. The show wasn't off the air long at all. But, The bit rate was what you said. Anyways. cheesysticks 02-28-2002, 02:55 PM What do you guys think of this? http://www.mybroadcast.org/ |
