I missed it, o-well.

Although this is semi-advertising, he isn't gaining much, if anything from doing this. It's just helping spread the word about WHR. I think this post is fine here.

No good if only people with cable modems or similar can listen to it

That's a weird problem that has so far only happened today.

It is rebufferring every 10 seconds for me. Before today it had never rebuffered once, and I'm on decent cable. So I doubt it was your connection, just a problem on Live365's side.

It actually said i could listen to it because i only had a 56k modem and needed cable/dsl/t1 or similar

Don't listent to Live365.. if its being broadcast at 32 Kbps ( like it was the other day ) you should be able to pick it up fine. However, I would suggest broadcasting at 24Kbps/22 mono ( not sterio ) if you want to go any lower. I can't listen in unfortunatly because of bandwidth limits here in Oz :(

I think it may have been a connection problem on their end as I was also having problems connecting with my cable modem, so I figured it might have been that connection and popped over to the T1 line and still couldn't get on it.. So I would assume it was a problem with live365.. :(

Yeah same thing happened to me, it would be choppy then would rebuffer every minute.

Hopefully its just a minor, short-term problem.

Explanation:
I sat down to watch tv for 5 mins and fell asleep for 4 hours so wasn't there to tell Tim what he was doing wrong and right. He set the bitrate way to high, even though I told him not to then didn't switch back to the rotation thus causing the off air downtime. Live and learn eh?

Its back to normal, I need to order some more bawls ( www.bawls.com ) to keep me awake.

Stay tuned to webhostingradio.com . Tim is making a new site and it will be much more feature packed, including being able to broadcast to listeners what's playing without having to post on WHT.....

Rewdog,
I had the bitrate set at what you told me. So, everything was fine. Also, I turned on your broadcast that I recorded after the show. The show wasn't off the air long at all. But, The bit rate was what you said. Anyways.
