kingnothing 02-27-2002, 06:45 PM Do you offer IMAP accounts? I only need one.
Also, can I pay a month at a time, or is this prepay only?
Thanks.

if you sold 13 accounts which would require 325gb of bandwidth(just over a t1), you would make $129.35, the T1 would cost alot more than that, not to mention the server, but the bandwidth alone comes out to $0.36 a gig, how can you do that?
nethosting 02-28-2002, 12:24 AM Yes, you will have an IMAP account.
It's payed month by month.
nethosting 02-28-2002, 12:29 AM George:
We have 12 clients per box.
I'm not going to be saying "our" rates (what it costs us), if you would like, PM me and I may talk to you about our rates and what we pay.
We don't make a ton of money off each client. We aren't in the business to "get rich quick".
Like the post say's this "is" a special price.

I've just grown tired of hosts that seriously oversell their bandwidth, just making sure, but thanks for clarifying
nethosting 02-28-2002, 12:42 AM I can understand..
I hate the hosts that claim "unlimited bandwidth".
Yeah it's unlimited to a certain point. Once it get's so high, the user would be using too much cpu, and in their TOS they have if a user uses too much cpu, there account will be deactivated, or moved to a dedicated server, ect..
I have been a client at many hosting company's and that's been my experience with "unlimited bandwidth".
KING NOTHING??!?! DBZ'S KN?!?!?!?!?!?!? Also, a special is usually a discounted price off of something...-George..

1. Not everyone will use 25 GB of bandwidth.
2. Even if everyone were to use all 25 GB of bandwidth, which is very unlikely, at the price Cogent bandwidth is going for, a profit margin still exists.
3. "alot" is two words.

1. what if they do, overselling has caused many hosts to go belly up.
2. not if there are overage charges, and even if there is, it may be so small as to not be worth the time, however nethosting has since stated this is a special and not the norm. If hosts go by the belief that their clients won't use up all their bandwidth they will run into problems. A good host is ready when their clients use all that they have been promised. Overselling on a small scale or with a few customers is fine, but if it becomes a standard practice they will suffer.
3. I had 3 hours of sleep and spent close to 10 hours at work and I only forgot to put a space in "a lot", that isn't bad, after all I'm not teaching third grade grammar, I'm in technology
