Let us know? ;) will5404 02-27-2002, 02:52 PM To cover the bill + all the time you spend on maintaining it (Vs. having a tech job hourly pay...) is pretty hard - especially if your just starting. Webhosting world is still very over corwded thanks to cheap servers available so everyone and there dog has a webhosting company. Makes it hard for everyone to survive. drewnick 02-27-2002, 02:56 PM I agree. Everyone should just quit being web hosting companies. ;) Equilibrium 02-27-2002, 03:01 PM I think "will5404" makes a good point though ;) drewnick 02-27-2002, 03:03 PM I agree, and also like his signature. Drew twrs 02-27-2002, 03:20 PM I agree that the webhosting market nowadays is very very crowd and competitive. I use the server mainly for other business and running a web hosting biz is just a side job to utilize the server capacity. So far, I can still barely afford the server and I voted for number three :) Equilibrium 02-27-2002, 05:38 PM I voted Yes! "Border Line Though" Its really too much competition, most cant live up to what they advertise though! So I'm no longer worried :) SoftWareRevue 02-27-2002, 05:50 PM Originally posted by bahres . . . . .Its really too much competition, most cant live up to what they advertise though! So I'm no longer worried" :cartman: Hahaha! Of course. Playing it straight, though, what he means, certainly, is that most other hosts besides him can't live up to their promises... so he himself no longer has to worry, and can chill out, overpromise and undeliver himself. Which is going to help a LOT to pull in the new customers and up the whole revenue stream. Juuuuust, you know whating (yet again :)). I think he means that so many hosts lie and otherwise blow that a) many of their customers will leave and seek out reputable people like him, and b) they'll go out of business, FORCING their customers to seek reputable people like him. so he needn't worry. if he sticks with it long enough, he can be the phoenix host that rises from the ashes of the inferior and dead ones Equilibrium 02-28-2002, 12:27 AM "jmars" - You Said It The Best for me ! :) |
