To make a website I've been working on more user friendly for the owners I was thinking of putting a link to the admin login for it on the site so they didn't have to worry about seperate url's.

The question is whether this would be a bad idea, as web users who looked close enough on the site may find the link to the login page? Given that there would otherwise be no login for users of the site, is this a good idea or not?

And I mean hiding the login too, so they know its there, but it isn't completely obvious...

Does anyone have any similar tricks?

You can have seperate login page for admins, and you can put a link to that page where ever you want, and this is not a bad idea, because the bad users of the site cannot access the admin area without admin login & password.
