JBIZ718 02-27-2002, 12:44 PM Ive used them for about 2 years now. I have a full rack there and they are a great company. Solid yipes network, and good people If you have any questions IM I can help you out Joe m00ds 02-27-2002, 02:04 PM ok thanks guys FreedomNet 03-22-2002, 02:49 PM We went with webreseller.net earlier this year. The sales people were very accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately it ended there. We started experiencing trouble with the technical support. They were only available (except for emergencies) 5x14 (9 to 11 weekdays). What ended up being a show stopper was we needed a Linux RPM installed (it is part of the standard Redhat distribution, but we were afraid Ensim had modified it in their distribution so we wanted the Ensim package added to our server). The answer was "no" so we were forced to leave after spending 10 days with them. Now for over 3 months we have attempted to get a refund for an installation/setup fee that was charged in error and a refund for part of the month’s usage since it was not a complete Linux environment and we could not compile our application programs. We have left 4 messages (none have been returned) and sent 2 letters (which have been ignored). Not even the courtesy of a response! I think a good way to evaluate a company is by the post-sale/after you sign up support - which for us has been TERRIBLE. I would read their policies about refunds, canceling your account, billing disputes and technical support closely. teck 03-22-2002, 03:16 PM Back in my newbie days, I had a virtual account with them. Their support was terrible. Half-behind answers and sometimes, taking forever to respond. I left very soon after I signed up. Although they could have changed, first impressions always count. edit: Back then, they had "unlimited" everything as well.. JBIZ718 03-22-2002, 03:24 PM Well I think this company is alot different now then early this year. I dont think we would have stayed with a company if there standards were not up to speed. I think with any company its important to read the TOS and AUP. Joe FreedomNet 03-22-2002, 03:35 PM Joe, I'm glad it is working for you. Our fisrt impressions were very favorable, especially dealing with Robert Greenawalt. Unfortunately, the problems we are having with webreseller.net (on the billing issue) are current. This month we have called 2 times and sent 2 letters. When you call the Accounts Payable/Billing Department at extension 304 you get Leslie McMichael, who always has her voicemail on and has not returned one of four calls left to her extension. webreseller 03-22-2002, 03:58 PM Freedom, I have found your account and I see the $15.00 setup that you are talking about. This had been applied to your account as a credit and not a refund... Leslie has just given the refund and you should see it on your card within days. FreedomNet 03-22-2002, 04:11 PM Matt/webreseller THANKS a ton for looking into this!!!! The cancelation confirmation has been sent via email for your review. Regards, Don |
