Is that a modified 205GTi ?

I had a Red one (1.9 GTi) back in the early 90's .. best car I ever had

nice car.

does yours have the same decals/wheels? any engine modifications?

I am proud to own a '02 Subaru Impreza WRX.

It is the rally blue color with stock wheels and all that.

~$6000 on the engine, brakes exhaust, susp, though.

WoodShedd,
how is the new rexy??

what did you spend the 6k on....(just tell me about engine mods and exhaust)

Buying a Sube WRX is the best 25G i've ever spent.

Id rather be driving that than a BMW or a Benz.

Its an excellent car with great performance right off the lot. most people would be perfectly happy with its 227 hp and all wheel drive.

I drove it for a few months and got bored with the performance. i have a friend who owns an auto shop, so I took it there and had everything installed. I also got it hooked up to the dyno for some results.

heres what I added:

3” Turbo Back polished Mandrel Bent Stainless Steel Exhaust with Hi-Flow Catalytic Converter

Solid Response Boost Control System
AVO ECU piggy back electronic fuel controller
K and N Air Filter
Dash Mount Boost Gauge and Mount
Top Mount Hi-Flow Intercooler
High-flow silicone intercooler hose
Sequential Blow Off Valve Kit.
Bolt On Garrett Water Cooled Ball Bearing Turbo.
High Velocity Turbocharger Intake Pipe.
Breather Tank System.

With all that the car makes about 320HP, and is still fine on the street. (the gas mileage isnt all that great though)

I have only driven the 99 model rex....it is the older shape.....if you are in US, then you probably are not aware of it........

they are definitely a fun car to drive......

those are some nice mods.......what are you running the boost at??

have you done any quarter or 0-60mph times......??

just dont do too many quarters in it though, cos WRX's are notorious for gear boxes going.......

Ooooo! Car topic :D

Any of you guys have Nissan Skylines in your country?

I think they are only in Japan and Australia, though I could be wrong.

Very nice cars.. I'm saving for a R32 GTR. 4wd, 4ws, twin turbo for only 19g's.

yeah, skylines are a dime a dozen around here.......I was going to buy an R32 not long ago, but I came across a cash flow shortage........

R32 GTR is a great car, I wouldn't mind owning one of those.......(they are a bit old now but still an awesome perfmer)

I just downloaded a GTR doing an 8 sec run the other day.......pretty damn quick......

WoodShedd

the boost is currently at 15psi.

Ive done lots of 0-60s and few quarters, but i've never really timed them accurately.

my guess for the quarter is between 12 and 13 seconds, and 0-60 between 5 and 5.5.

i KNOW i can do it faster. i just dont want to spend any more money.

They're crazy huh?

People get em well in excess of 500hp.
Problem is, everyone has a skyline. It's too good bang for buck :(

Around here Honda civics and slammed S-10s are a dime a dozen.

people spend more on making them look good than making them perform well.

Where do you live?

Sounds like here, Suzuki Swifts, Honda Civics etc. With really expensive kits and mufflers, but standard motor.

Woodshedd, that doesn't sound quite right. With my LT-1 T/A, I get 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and the q/m in about 13.1...what's your torque value?

Hey Puggy,

Congrats on your new car.. ;) Last night I went to an auto show with 2 family members, and they had so many cars! All new of course, and well they had floors and rooms of cars that you can look at, and even able to sit in most of them. ;) It was pretty cool, but of course.. yours is the best out of all them, hehe just jokin round. ;)

So, have you changed your mind about my offer? :(

Just when you think this entire forum is the focus point of the worlds saddest bas*censored* you post a thread about cars and it becomes the most active and interesting in a long time.

Just proves the people of WHT do have a life, we shall cherish this thread when people question our geekness !!

Congrats on the car :-)

Hi!
That is a wonderful car.. I never knew the French could make good looking cars too... ;)

I always liked European cars a lot... Especially German and Italian....

Out here in India the most popular are japanese and Korean cars... We have some very good and popular Indian cars too...
