I seem to recall a thread posted recently (within the last 2 months or so) about a service that one of the domain registrars opened up regarding domain name protection. Basically you only purchase the domain name so someone else can't. There will not be a hosting account affiliated with this domain name, as it is just a means to protect your domain. I believe that this service was around $4.95 for the purchase of the domain, and if you changed your mind and wanted to use the domain for hosting then it would cost $10.00 . Does anyone remember that site, or the thread?

Thanks

that is enom and the price is US$5.99, but you have to be an enom technology partner to qualify for that price which involves an initial bulk purchase of domain names of US$495 worth of credits. You then pay an extra US$3.99 if you wish to activate the domain name.
