HELP!

I got a letter from my current web host this morning saying that my website has grown too large now and is consuming too much resources. They have given me 30 days to either upgrade to their much higher package that runs $169.95, set up a dedicated server at their NOC, or leave them.

While at first glance this post looks like I am about to flame the host, I actually am not. They have done a fine job for me, and I have very few gripes. As a matter of a fact, I will not even state their name.

This puts me into a position where I must find a new webhost, or upgrade to their higher package. I am undecided right now.

My website is a celeb site, that gets about 1700-2500 users per day. Daily bandwidth is about 700 megabytes. Something my current host noted was "Your concurrent user sessions are very high and average 53 concurrent sessions and peak alot higher at times."

To the point, I know that there are web hosts that read this board. If you can make me an offer that can meet my requirements, and allow the site to grow some also, please email me as soon as possible. To everyone else, please send suggestions either via email or post directly to this board.

Thank you everyone,

Patrick

Maybe y'all could decide who wants to have control of a server and split the cost of a nice dedicated? I mean that since a virtual account might be too small, a dedicated might be slight overkill, whoever gets a server can sell off 1/2 the space, etc., to the other? Just a thought (and a paddle for the boat).

Yeah, Chicken's idea is a good one. They can probably use 4webspace.com and get a Raq3 for $99 a month and split the bill...
