I would like to delete a domain, but I have a few concerns.

My friend had a domain and left it alone. When it came time to renew she didn't and some porn company swiped it up. But when you search in an search engine it still comes up as her site and she gets harrased by people who know she used to own it.

I don't want this to happen to me. Is there any way to prevent it?

Also, how does one delete a domain registered with netsol?

once it is deleted or you let the domain name expire, there is no way to stop someone from registering it and turning it into an adult site.

If it is indexed in major search engines like dmoz or yahoo under a specific category, you can write to them and ask them to remove the link as the new content does not match the category under which it is indexed.

If you wish to delete the domain name, I would write to netsol and provide them with your information and ask them the process.
