Hi,

I was wondering whether "parking" a domain has any impact Google rankings?

Suppose parkedomain.org was my main website, and then I decided to purchase parkedomain.net and then park it with cpanel on the main account. Would this be bad for my Google rating on the .org domain?

Cheers for any help with this,

Arakis

:( Does anyone know whether having a domain parked on your main website (both with the same name - but one a .org, and one a .net) would damage Google rankings in any way?

Cheers :)

if you are concerned, just use the noindex, nofollow tag to disallow one of the sites from being indexed.. thus there won't be any issue at all.

Last time I checked, Google did instruct me to use a specific line of code in my htaccess file for any parked or forwarding domains to a main account.

redirect 301 / http://www.domain.com/file.ext
