I have a reseller account on a windows server and need to supply my users with a shopping cart.

are there ones out there that are decent? SOmething that is easy to use and setup, and one that will allow payplay payments as well as cc and allow offline processing.

I have looked into comersus and os commerce

osCommerce is the way to go! Best out there, and its free open source! Theres also osCMax, an osCommerce distribution that comes with lots of contributions. Give it a look too.

What language are you looking for? osCommerce is PHP and Comersus is ASP.

I was looking for ASP cart in case I had to modify it. I tried the oscommerce and it has a lot of nice stuff, but because it is PHP I am afraid because I am not familiar with it. Atleaset with the comersus, I am able to modify it, but it will take too much modification to get it where I want.

I see it has some reference to open SSL, what is that? free ssl?

That is anohter thing to take into consideration as to what to charge customer for hosting, cart and SSL.

what do you do about ssl for the cart processing?

We usually use either Geotrust or StarterSSL - you can get them for a little cheaper at ev1servers.net
