Looks like Ricochet will be coming back! They had plans to do my area before they went bankrupt, and hope they were near being completed, or still plan on it. It's a great service. Anyone here actually get to use their service?
Side note:
How does everyone else connect to the web when on the go? If you use a cellphone --> Laptop, what type of cellphone etc...?

I remember I used to use them, they were great battery drainers ;)

Wow ... I hope this happens!
I can only imagine going to the beach, taking my cell phone, laptop, and having high speed 'Net access.

What sort of speed do you get when using a cell phone with your laptop? I was just looking at that Nokia 6210 at nokia.com.au and it mentioned 45 kbps, is that a little idealised or about what you can get?

I believe itm is meant to be but I dont get that out of it. Havnt messed around with the settings much though as I only use it for emails. Its not very good, and expensive, to surf the web.
Using the Data Cable is a lot faster than IR though.
This was an awesome service, we had it here in the NoVA area.
I've used them before they went belly up...I hope the prices are a bit better this time around.
I need new wireless high-speed access for my ipaq!
