Hi peeps
I have bought some .in domains and I would like to ask for your appraisal. Thank you very much. Btw .in is from india. :P

1) ihost.in
2) mbox.in
3) linuxserver.in
4) linuxsupport.in

FYI , linux is more used in India due to them having no budget to buy M$ products :P Thank you very much

I am not sure if we would be the best people to appraise! This is the Indian market. I am not sure how popular those products would be in India!

linuxserver.in looks decent though, high $xx - mid/low $xxx

Thanks domain4u
Yup , you are right ... it would be different in indian market. however ihost.in doesn't have to be indian webhosting company does it ? for that matter country tlds doesn't restrict you to that country nowaday.... perhaps some still do ... but i don't know any .... as far as i know india is the last and the biggest country to open up its domain name. Therefore i am hoping the names will do good for me :P thanks for your quotation dude .. appreciate it :)

It is hard to say anything regarding .in extension at the moment. I do not think they are more than registration fee. There can be some really good domain name still available for registration.

Decent names not sure how popular the .in extension is at this moment. Any idea on where you registered these and how much the reg fees were?

hi guys
.in domains were opened for reg on 16th ... b4 that you can pre-order but well ... that doesn't mean you will get it.

http://domain.ncst.ernet.in/ <----- indian registry page

http://www.registry.in/register/accredited_registrars <--- accredited registerers including eNom!

nope its too late ... most of the best names are gone ... i tried it today :P fees vary you can check them out one by one ... since there aren't many approved to sell the extension yet. I paid about US$20 each. So hopefully i will break even... If you need anymore info pls visit the site or email me at wickedpuppy@gmail.com

It is long time investment and I do not think if it is worth for it.

$20 is not much though.

I have had an issue with *.ki domain name. It costs around $760/year to register the domain name with that extension.

Hi Maxo
.ki ? which country ? well true i am not expecting my domains will be sold immediately ... thats why i am not in the other forum :P anyway india is the second largest country in the world with one of the fastest growing IT sector..... isn't it where most of the IT companies from US go to hire people ? China maybe more famous but i am betting on india. After all , they came up with numero 0 ... and computers are nothing but 0 and 1 lol :P cheers! thanks for your input maxo!

PS : $760 and $20 have very big difference... in my opinion ....
