Hi,

I own the domain name eahost.com and am thinking about
selling it or developing an hosting business for it.

EAHost could stand for Easy Affordable host or something.

Do you think such a domain name would be sellable, and
how much should I ask?

Also what would be a good place to offer it for sale?
Here/Ebay/Afternic?

On the other hand, I want to start a hosting company and may
be better of keeping it myself.

Any comments appreciated.

Marco

Well, it isn't a domain that is overly worth more than what you paid for it. It could be used for what you said, though SEAhost.com could be Super Easy Affordable host , etc. You may get lucky and get a buyer who wants it and is willing to pay more money than you should expect (around $35 would be my guess), but if not, then you've made what you can on it. Be happy, buy a pizza and a six pack of good brewski*...

*suggestion: Guinness!

Whois shows eahost is not registered...is available.

It is on hold by registar and not all registars are updated yet.

Guess it is better anyway to develop it even if I decide to sell
it, a developed site may do better than just a domain.

But I think I'll keep it and try to start a hosting biz - this forum
has been very informative and I have at least some idea of
where to start and what to look for.

What am I getting myself in to.... :)

I just tested...went all the way to the credit card step....well past the purchase step...don't know who's telling you it's on hold....but it wasn't 5 minutes ago.

Perhaps I should have waited a bit longer before asking
the question...

Anyway at register.com it says data unavailable, might be taken
and I registered it with enom.com which I thought was a reputable company. Their info (at least loggin in to my account) shows it is on registar lock after I registered.

But next time I will wait until all registars have updated whois, don't know what happens if 2 claim the same name.

Thanks.

Looks like it is no longer available. I hope you got it.

Now back to your original question...it is an ok name, but nothing special. Still most names are just that..ok.
