View Full Version : who's an outstanding VPS provider?
can anyone recommend a good VPS provider that's been around for awhile, and that you can see being around for years more
i don't care about the price
i want something more than 3 gigs of space and 25 gigs bw
i prefer Virtuozzo (sp) and cpanel
I really like the plans here: http://www.monsterhosting.ca/hosting/vpshostingcanada.php
BUT, they haven't been around long enough (archive.org only has them around for a year).
Right now I have a virtual account with Tera-Byte (http://web.tera-byte.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=services.virtual) but I know I'll need more with certain clients that like to upload their hundreds of 1 meg pictures.
gate2vn 02-15-2005, 09:37 PM Have you taken a look at ServInt?
seighin 02-15-2005, 09:39 PM I would suggest Servint. The've been and will be around for a long time.
I've been with them for 5 month now and have no complain.

I think monsterhosting was around longer than that
well, on archive.org monsterhosting.ca only found itself in their archives in 2003
even though it says 97-2004 on their page
BF-Gary 02-16-2005, 03:20 AM If you read our FAQ's you will understand the dates. We are currently sold out of VPS.
stokes_83 03-02-2005, 06:10 PM Try www.rackforce.com.
Very good service.

You shouldn't use archive.org to determine how long a company has been operating and even so, a company that can survive a year with no complaints is a good company. :)
Servint or EV1 I would suggest.
bizantium 03-03-2005, 09:17 AM I would suggest FluidHosting.com.
HostNorth 03-03-2005, 01:58 PM Powervps.com or vpscolo.com both provide good service. I have used both, and have been quite happy with the performance, uptime and support.

with his preference to Virtuozzo, VPSColo might not make the cut since they run UML. I did have great uptime and support with VPSColo. I would also suggest ServInt for Vituozzo.
Brannix 03-04-2005, 04:13 AM If you prefer Virtuozzo for VPS then try one of these below where they adobted Vz at the earliest date
ServInt
The Planet
Hostway
EV1Server
Server4You
RackForce
BF-Gary 03-04-2005, 06:11 PM Note: ThePlanet does not provide VPS directly to the public only to those that wish to buy a VPS server to provide VPS's.
Kiarek 03-04-2005, 06:33 PM Either powervps and servint are good choices, so far i have test them, and they are pretty good.
Tought on my personal view i like more servint.
