Hi, I didn't change anything but about 2 weeks ago I started getting complaints that smtp with outlook wasn't working, and neomail, although responds very fast takes between 30s and 1 min to send a mail !!!
How can I find out where the problem is ?

id make sure first that your mail server is not being abused or being used as a relay.

you can test if your server is acting as a relay by using www.mailabuse.org - in sure I remember there being a tool there to test for smtp relay.

if you are not acting as a relay then ensure none of your users have been abusing the server by sending out mass e-mails, to do this you can look at the outbound queue.

Try increasing the mail window time...

if thats not the problem, make sure you have the PTR records enabled in your DNS.

I had a the same problem, it turned out to be a dns issue......did you get yours fixed?

Are you using these Raq's as your nameservers?
I guess so! Login by SSH and restart named. You must clear your syslogs as well and it will work fine.

Thanks, what is the comand to restart named ?
And how do I clear the syslogs? do I just delete them or pico them and clear out the file?
Ho can you set the server to do this automaticaly?
