Have a client that needs a full ds3, just wondering if anyone has seen anything better then 5,400/month (2-Year contract) outside of a major hub city. wasn't sure where to post this question I furgured the people in here might have the best input. I've already checked with some bandwidth brokers and most of the tier 1 providers but I just wanted to be sure I was setting this client up with a good deal.

Yes, price varies very much on your location. Current prices in my area for a FRACTIONAL T1 are upwards of 600/month. And that's even using a provider out of St. Louis.

To me, that's just unacceptable, so I'll continue to colo in major cities for now.

Your best bet would be to check with local providers if you haven't done so already.

Might even scour around to find resellers of the major bells. Sometimes they have their own switches that can reduce the cost. I quote connectivity all of the time and most of the time providers will go below what they have as retail cost.

XO might be able to give you better pricing.. but if it is out of range of a major hub city it can get pricy or you could get it down to half what you where quoted.

the quote was from sprint, and it was +/- 500 depending on location. I was more wondering if anyone has seen anything lower from any providers. It's the best quote I've seen outside of a hub or datacenter.

oh and it needs to be a tier 1 provider. so I guess my question is has anyone seen anything lower then 5,400 for a full ds3 from a tier 1 provider outside of a hub city(chicago, mae-east,mae-west) or datacenter. Cleint is in Minnesota.
