View Full Version : One final, desperate, plea for BoardAide.

Well, maybe not final. Possibly removed from desperate. And, in all probability, not a plea at all.

I have a forum community started (BoardAide (http://www.boardaide.com)).
I am much too busy to work it and think it would be a wonderful way for someone to gain experience at running a community. Or someone experienced to showcase their talents.

The site's main focus will be to offer support via members to anyone requesting any support for any forum.
We are looking for someone that will represent BoardAide in a professional manner and keep the site looking pleasant.
You will have full control in presenting the forum. We only request that you represent BoardAide well.

We are not looking for a paid administrator. But, rather, someone interested in the mayoral duties involved in the operation of a forum based community. Of course; the desire to supply friendly, courteous support would be a major plus.

Currently it is a vBulletin. But, we are looking closely at changing to a different board.

Please reply to this thread; or contact board@boardaide.com

Still not sure exactly what the role of the person you are seeking is. It seems to fit somewhere between the owner/administrator and the moderators, but would need more clarification before I could reasonably respond. You talk about full control in "presenting" the board...please define.

The person selected would have full control over site content, management, and layout.

I am rather interested. How much work is involved? What kind of work is needed? Some specific examples? (What do you mean by management, layout, content?)

Peter The work involves running a forum.
The kind of work needed is someone to maintain the site.
Decisions need to be made as to what categories to have in the forum.
Proper moderation.
Colors and themes of the forum.
Basically, anything involved with running a forum.
I won't tell you how you must do anything. I may, on occasion, offer some advice or suggestions however. But it will, for the most part, be solely your responsibility.

I don't know how to expound much more; as I haven't ran a forum before.
It's just an idea I had once because I thought it would be nice if there was one place you could go to get help with any bulletin board.
Actually, I still believe in the idea. I just don't have time to work on the site.
