Hey WHTers,

I have a deal for you:

For the same price you could buy an AMD Package 1 with Ensim directly from RS, i'll sell you my hardly-used and fully restored one for $325 + 1 month of Service ($149). If interested, or if you want more details, e-mail jslivko@voyageri.net. Thanks!

P.S. This offer won't last long, so better HURRY!

Note: This server has been sold.

Those who are looking to pick up a RS server from a third party are looking to get out of the setup fee altogether. Your deal only saves $144 which isn't much for the server not being in the purchasers name. I am just offering this on the basis of all the RS transfers I've seen in the past....but maybe you'll be lucky....my opinion is that you will have to cut the setup fee further.

For a server with 2 x 40GB drives and 1GB of RAM, what i'm asking is a pretty fair price to pay.

But the savings vs Rackshack does little to offset the negatives.

Not when someone has to pay you every month for the server. You can't transfer servers at RS. You'll have to keep it in your name. No one is going to risk saving $144 to have a server in someone else's name instead of their own.

Not to mention doesen't having a resold server disqualify you from rackshack's support (regardless of how poor it is)? I was under the impression that if you had a resold server, you were required to go to whoever resold it to you for any service/support/trouble tickets, etc.

No, I would have the account put into the buyers name, it would no longer be in my name, thus giving them all the power to gain support and put in tickets, etc.

jslivko - check with Rackshack, as they don't allow transfer of ownership to another party. Believe me, as a former customer, I've 'been there, done that'. If you're thinking your going to sell your server and get out of the middle you are mistaken. The only way for you to do this is to 'sell' your server to another party, they pay you the monthly fee, you pay RS.

Can you imagine what kind of loss Rackshack would be experiencing if they allowed that? No offense to rackshack, but i bet they love having customers leave and turnover the servers like that, because it means another $400+ in their pockets right away (assuming they've got enough demand naturally), if people started selling them amongst themselves, well i bet rackshack would be doing a lot more work and making a lot less $$$. BTW, it's in their TOS that you can't i believe, double check though :)
