Hello,
I noticed you were looking for a site to buy. SysChat.Com is a small computer forum, that gets about 30-90 unique hits a day. However, it is a great domain. It is only 6 letters. It is easy to spell, easy to say. More importantly, it is in a high demand type of site, it could be used as a computer and or forum site or a support site, or a computer blog, or a hardware review site, and the list goes on. Another good point is that it is .com, and .com's are becoming rare these days. It is registered with GoDaddy.Com and has about another 10 months on it. There are a few options you have if you purchase this domain:
1) You could resell it and park it. This is what I would do, it is an extremely good domain and you will probably be able to get more for it. Also, if you have it parked, you could make some change by when people visit in there are ads on your page, and you get the revenue this creates. The money created by you parking it will be little, but it will be something, and it will all be worth it once you sell it. I suggest using sedo.com, it is good, because for only $39 they will promote on their main page where people look when they want to buy domains. And you will get revenue from clicks on your page.
2) You could develop it. This is what I tried to do, but I didnt have the time or the money to do it. If you do it right, and make a nice computer forum, you will be able to have ads on your page that will generate some income, and if it gets big enough, you should be able to sell for alot more. I reccomend phpBB for a free forum program, its what I was using previously. You can get it at www.phpBB.com, If you want, I will keep the forum for you. The last, and most important tip I have to you is to advertise, this is what I didnt do, I am kind of broke at the moment, and I would rather eat than have my forum grow. But, if you want to build the site, advertise!!! Advertising is cheap anyway, find a computer related content site, and buy some adspace, you can get some nice traffic for only $100. The reason I didnt is because I am broke at the moment. Another reason I recived little traffic was because my site wasnt indexed right for google. I installed some mods, so next time it is indexed, your google rankings should go up, because before, google wasnt searching the threads, which are what contain the most content. There are so many people with computer related problems, if you do it right, you might be able to get some money.
