this is another complaint agains surfspeedy.com.
im not a reseller but i sent them some new sales from my affiliate link, they promised a $35 per signup at http://www.surfspeedy.com/affiliates.htm but then they just pay you $5 through their affiliate manager clixgalore.

tons of mails, chat and tickets sent and they just say " you will be transfered to our billing dept" which looks to be located in a remote island in view they have no phone support

AVOID AVOID AVOID SURFSPEEDY.COM

I've never used their services, but you read the fine print here, (http://www.clixgalore.com/AffSelectProgram.aspx?AdvProgID=2431) right?

ca455

yep, i know but i asked them before going on and they told me i will be paud $35 no matter the clixgalore program, i trusted them and i ve been robbed

Hmm...well, I'd contact them directly then. The link I followed (above) states $5.

I saw a ton of $5.00 per sign up but did not see any $35.00 payout offers anywhere.

Do you have a link to where the $35.00 offer is?

EDIT: Sorry I did follow the link you posted and it does say $35.00 if you host their banner.

Are you hosting their banner program or just using the cliks links?
That looks like where the confusion may lie.

Quote from SurfSpeedy:

Just add a banner, button, or text links on your website and start making money. When visitors to your web site click on the banner or button, sign up for webhosting, and stay for 30 days, SurfSpeedy will pay you a commission. Our commissions start at $35 per signup

There's some confusion with affiliate introduction.

Billing is in normal business hours EST 9am-5pm. If you can't get them on the phone then you must be calling outside of that time frame...

Affiliate payouts are handled by clix galore as we don't address these issues. That's why we chose a 3rd party program so that we wouldn't be accused of any wrong doing...

Mr Steve << last name removed >>>

Instead of posting here, you should resolve my issue with you posting a solution to my problem with you which is clearly explained in my ticket QNM-83246 at your (surfspeedy) website helpdesk.

This would never happened if you honor your deal to pay your affiliates the clearly showed $35/per signup commission instead of the $5 that is been paid through clixgalore.

You cannot say here that your affiliate program is managed by clixgalore, whenYOU and not me or them, configure the clixgalore to pay just $5 per signup

I alreay sent you 7 new hosting members and tons of cliks , and Im being paid just $35 ($5 each) from clixgalore, and missing $30*7=$210

Dont believe: Here is a screenshot of my 7 sales:

http://img119.exs.cx/img119/9346/surfspeedy0xl.jpg

So what´s next????

and just in case, here a screenshot of surfspeedy $35 offer (just in case they decide to change it from their website because these bads reviews   )

I didn't deny what the site said but posting an old copy of the site also is not appropriate.

It appears that you were using a different link other than the one that the $5 program was meant for as Surfspeedy.com site does not offer FREE hosting...

ca455,

Looks like indeed you are getting the shaft and SurfSpeedy is backpeddaling hardcore. The affiliates link now redirects you to their main page.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Thumbs up for taking screen shots and posting them.

JA JA JA, THEY REMOVED THE AFFILIATE PAGE AND CHANGED THE MAIN ONE TOO.

TOO LATE STEVE AND REY, YOU CAN CHANGE THEM FROM YOUR SITE BUT YOU WILL NEVER STOP ME TO MAKE THE WORLD KNOW WHAT U DID.

HERE IS THE "OLD" AFFILIATE SCREENSHOT AGAIN , AND AGAIN, AN AGAIN.

AND DONT SAY YOU DONT OFFER FREE HOSTING, MAY BE YOU WANT ME TO POST A HOME PAGE SCREENSHOT WHERE YOU OFFERED HOSTING FOR JUST $1/MO ;)

IF NOT, JUST CHECK THE ALEXA´S THUMBNAIL

That link was to the surfspeedy web site and it did say $35.00 I checked it myself and went to your site, It does appear you have now changed the page, but that page did say just what the poster says it did.

It may have been an oversight on your side by failing to take the old page down but he did post a link to that page and it was on your site.

Thats right.. It is sad to see a company deny all wrong doing instead of just accepting responsibility of the mistake and moving on.

Why would you say backpedaling? I addressed the image as the program you signed up for was a promotion when we were offering a free hosting package.

Regarding the site change, that happened days ago; There is a new site up that’s why i questioned the reason for putting up images of one that is no longer online...

If you didn't like the terms that clixgalore was giving for that link why did you sign up?

Steve-SurfSpeedy
02-15-2005, 08:40 AM
Also on the note why the affiliate page is not on the new site its due to the fact there are new plans and the banners need to be updated...

that was a reply to the user who is upset with what he signed up for....

backpedaling - saying that the site was changed due to his post which is incorrect. FACT- site update was completed long before the post.

Amount of program for affiliates - FACT - clixgalore site has the payout information posted on it. Plus, there are multiple programs and payouts under our account as there were more than the surf website located on the program.

I'm not sure why this user didn't go ahead and contact clixgalore for more information on this as posting out here won't change anything.

this is not true. if you read this thread you will see that many other members here visited the affiliate.html page which has been removed and "FOUND " it saying $35 "DURING " this thread

That´s mean that the page "WAS " there until yesterday when it has been changed by the new layout

And WHY I signed to promote your service wa sbecause I contacted you through the chat and your sales staff (Erica and many others) told me that I will be actually paid $35/each refered sale no matter what clixgalore says. I trusted you. Bad choice

The orginal link posted this one http://www.surfspeedy.com/affiliates.htm which does go to your site has not been edited or changed by the poster. That link did contain a page that said you were paying $35.00 per signup.

I saw that page myself right after the poster started this thread as you can see from my previous post in this thread. So that page was changed after this thread was started and that is a a fact.

You really should do the right thing, which is, pay ca455 the money that your website clearly said was his. He has shown proof of signups amounting to an additional $210 that surfspeedy owes him. I too saw the affiliate page in question and believe that ca455 followed the correct procedures to qualify for the $35 per signup.

Completely absolving yourself of any wrongdoing by saying "affiliate payouts are handled by clixgalore" only comes across as you dodging the issue and I wouldn't be surprised if you lose new and current customers because of it. Is this really worth $210 when you know that you're wrong?

I think it is pretty clear that Steve is not telling the truth (I too say the address). Would you like to dispute this point Steve or are you just admitting to it (which is pretty much best)? Why are some companies so greedy, they'd rather ruin their reputation than pay what is really cents?

"Cannot get any reply from them either here of from the helpdesk" It is pretty clear they are ignoring you, I can say that no matter what Steve might say later, I am not jumping to conclusions.

this doesn't regard a resell or affiliate link (although i was considering surfspeedy for a reseller account), but i recently signed up with them (3 weeks ago), they were promoting a $1 per month for 3 months special, then $6.95 per month after. this week i saw their site changed and now they're promoting the same package for $4.95.

when i asked their live support if the $4.95 would apply to me once my $1/month expired, they replied that $4.95 was the ANNUAL rate, that, pay a year up front and it equals $4.95 a month, otherwise it was still $6.95 a month. much like the affiliate problem here, there's absolutely NO mention of having to pay annually ANYWHERE on the site! i confronted live support about this and he just said "you'll have to order to see it", meaning it's an option you'll get IF you actually go thru the purchasing process!!

even tho i'm not getting ripped off, this discrepancy concerns me, and now that i read about this i'm not sure i want to stay with surfspeedy. as a matter of fact, i've already signed up with another host. buyer beware!

Surfspeedy,

Be man enough to accept your mistake, and responsibly pay CA455 his due (and some other affiliate perhaps?). Stop making excuses, alibis.

ca455, I'm really sorry to read what's happening.

Techark, thank you for following the thread and revealing the truth. :agree: For once, it appears to me that the thread's title is too soft.

I have a hunch that Steve decided to simply ignore this situation and this thread; he didn't post anything after Techark's statement above. :)

Pretty tough to sell out on your reputation for $35. I would rather send folks to a quality host and not get paid then send them to a company like surfspeedy for any amount of money.

Yes, Steve will more than likely ignore the thread when he could have admitted the mistake and resolved the situation which would make everyone a happy camper.. but no that would be too easy. Now it looks like someone else, exclaim, could be a victim with the switcharoo SurfSpeedy Affiliate scam .. what a shame..

Are you sure that's an "affiliate banner", and not just a normal banner, paid for by surfspeedy?

Steve and our company have had a prior business relationship.

In light of this I must say i'm shocked by his actions.
"Oh the tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive" fits this scenario to a "T"

Steve, I figured you had a little more integrity than that...:(

***** LAST UPDATE ******

For the last week, Steve from surfspeedy has been PM me trying to resolve this problem , he told me that he will look in the chat transcripts in order to find who and when promised me a $35 per signup commission.

At the first time, I thought this was just "blah blah" from him, but believe it or not he found the chat and honored the deal.

Surfspeedy sent me the $210 commission to my paypal account today honoring in full the affiliate commissions shown in their website some weeks ago as shown in the screenshots in this thread

Once more just to be clear if my engish is not enough:
I FINALLY HAVE BEEN PAID BY SURFSPEEDY

Yes, that´s right , Steve honored it and paid me in full
Thumbs UP :) :) :)
