Hey everyone,
I setup a network between both of my computers, both are running Win2k. The internet connection works, everything is fine. Now I need to be able to share files between both. I need to be able to click My Computer, and automattically mount the harddrive of the other computer.
All help is appreciated.

Various ways to accomplish what you'd like to do.
If you want the entire drive accessible across the network you can share the drive (right click, sharing... etc), set the share and security permissions...
The share will be viewable in your workgroup under network places, right click on it, map the share, etc.
And that should do it.

I already tried that...it's not working...I am still trying...I've seen it done in Win98, to where you click My Computer and it will mount all the Harddrives of another computer...
I aslo want to to use my Printer across the network...

You tried what I just posted and you are not seeing a mapped drive with the letter you specified in your drive listings?
Are you seeing the share via 'my network places' ?
Mapping printers is moderately the same scenario... you need to share the printer. Then in control panel --> printers, add the printer, choose the from a network, browse for the printer, add it, etc.
This is of course assuming you have correctly setup your local peer to peer. I'm going by the fact that you said you've done this already.

In Win2k, everyone logins in with a username and password. Lets say I have ComputerA that logs in as "Bob" and ComputerB that logs in as "Bill". For these two computers to beable to share files, login accounts have to be created on the opposite machines. This means, for ComputerA to access files on ComputerB, a login called "Bob" has to be created on ComputerB (with the same password as "Bob" would use on ComputerA). The same would be true on the other machine, an account for "Bill" has to be setup on ComputerA if "Bill" wants to access files. Make sure that in the sharing properties you give rights to these new users. If both machines login as Administrator, then you'll have to login everytime. Hope this helps

It's all about permissions. Login with the local administrative account if you wish.

I added the same users on both computers, but still no success...when I try to Add a printer over the network it gives me an error.
