Hello,
I understand that RH ES and CentOS are basically similar, CentOS is newer.
My question is simple, and please take a poll on this.
If you had a choice of picking the OS which one would you choose ?
If you know anything about the above OS, which one is most compatible, reliable, etc?
Thanks all. Hope to see some good outcomes.

We've been updating everything to Centos 3.4 and it seems to be working very well for us.

RedHat Enterprise 3 is most supported & I recommend it.

CentOS isn't any newer, it's typically a few days behind Red Hat's releases (for good reason, they have to repackage everything.) If cost isn't an issue, RedHat Enterprise is very widely supported. In the free arena, CentOS is pretty much the same as RHEL, minus the technical support and copyrighted material. I've found both to be very stable, compatable and easy to maintain. While I don't have much personal experience with Debian, many will swear by it.

Debian is the most tried and tested Linux distro I've used. Every package is tested, and versions go through a legit testing before being considered stable.

Debian's also got one of the longest-running and best engineered package managment systems. I can't believe RedHat proponents really compare apt to yum; yum really isn't anywhere close the functionality of apt/dpkg. Toss in a sane, elegant /etc structure, almost 100% predictable file locations, and the largest, best tested package database of any distro out there, and you've got a very easy to administer system. You'll need to go with a RedHat variant if you need any commercial software running on it, but for anything else I'd recommend Debian.

I'm currently using all CentOS machines. But seeing how DirectAdmin will be supporting Debian soon I will probally be considering it for my next machine. Debian is one of the greatest linux distrobution's ever. Its a dream to work with.
