Chickens if this is not the correct area please move it.
Dear Gentlemen/Women of WHT,
I have taken the time to write this because; today we have witnessed the carnage of 2 hosts that prior to today were in the best of standing. Both firms were hammered so decisively that the odds are that neither will fully recover from the incident. As we all know bad news travels fast, good news crawls at a snails pace.
But now we should ask ourselves. Did we spark the flame that ignited the forest fire? With shameful regret I can say yes I helped it along. But I was willing to point it out that they were my views and never an accusation. Understanding was more my outlook.
Now we must start to consider, how we flamed the fires and possibly placed our home here on WHT in that path. If anybody spent a decent time reading the post of the thread in question. Many would have noticed that the general line of gossip was getting worst. At one point it seemed so bad that, everyone was placing blame on everyone else. Does anybody think that because of the carnage (not only this one, but the others lately), that the overall quality of the forum will improve. I have quietly have removed myself of this forum. Why, everyone demands answers that, within my views, don’t need to be answered. Then they continue with the probing and making guess, with the overall goal of placing doubt.
Now I draw in the management of WHT, to my own chagrin. Taking an action, when, you were in the position of confirmation, shows that the forum is not a neutral ground but your firm favors different parties at different times. Also since you had advance knowledge of what was going on, your firm could have taken the opportunity to provide a peaceful settlement out side of this forum. You have basically set up the opening act of a downfall. Who’s, I don’t know, but the masses will demand a final resolution, otherwise both firms will suffer. And even if they both make a joint statement, the seeds of mistrust are sown.
So again I say:
With our words we have caused great damage.
Let us hope we have learned something.
And my we never cross that line again.
