Hey guys, I want to set my modernbill up so that with a valid coupon the customer will get 2 months free hosting.

I thought I should just enter 200% in the % off box but it says it is an illegal value!

Any ideas how i could set this up?

Have them sign up for 3 months, add a coupon for .75 (75% OFF) and have them use that coupon.

200% would be 2 x the value of the plan and would probably be applied to the recurring value of the plan.
Some of the coupon settings in MB can be a little confusing at times.
I ended up billing one client 4000 instead of 50 once :)
Luckily it was 2am and I was able to reissue the invoice before they got up and read their mail, but it can happen

Yes I've done much the same thing. Always remember that ModernBill wants you to put in percentages as decimal fractions (eg, 50% should be entered as .50).

Just to check the maths of the above post - if you set it at 3 months dont you want to discount 66% instead of 75%? I could be wrong, I;ve only got a degree in Astrophysics and that doesnt lend itself to be good at real numbers! ;-)
