Hello,

A while back I posted a topic about a program I was making, vBash. Well, it is still in production, but I have a rather stable demo which I can showcase if anyone is interested.

vBash is a customizable shell that lets you restrict your customers from leaving their home directory when logged in via telnet or ssh on a dedicated server. I have added support for several features, including logs, anonymous reseller support, and more.

If there is any interest for the program still, I'd love to hear some feedback. More specifically the exact features companies are looking for to be implemented in this program so I can focus on making certain areas better.

Thanks! :)

hey vince you should really setup a webpage with all the features and such...

but i might be interested in it... what would the free version have specifically since all i really need is a shell that keeps my users in their own area and limits them to useing a few programs( basically passwd, pico, lynx, ftp, etc)

Well, I haven't really decided on the free version. I'm just trying to finish the program now. :)

If anyone is interested in seeing a demo, please contact me at vince@jtan.com or ICQ me at 26358995. I would be more than happy to setup a time when you can login and take a look around vBash and see how it is.

I plan on putting up a web page sometime soon. I alreay have some plans taking shape, but nothing definite yet. I will let you know once I have something up.

But for anyone that is interested in seeing it, please either post here or contact me. I'd love to give you a tour. :)
