View Full Version : Wizards Hosting MUST BE JOKING
Equilibrium 02-23-2002, 03:15 PM Wizards Hosting MUST BE JOKING
The Order Form is using an expired SSL CERT
https://secure.wizardshosting.com/orderform.html
I thought they were professional. That cert almost expired a month ago.
:D
TimPD 02-23-2002, 03:17 PM Give Carlos time they will renew it :) They're professional.
Equilibrium 02-23-2002, 03:24 PM TimPD - Don't tell no one to give them any time.
SSL Cert are a very serious security feature and the fact that they don't take security seriously shows their not professionals.
Do you suggest clients signup with a host using a SSL Cert what almost expired a month ago
ha ha ha

Err either you're a newbie or you dont know this, even though the cert is expired, it still does the job of encrypting the data.
Equilibrium 02-23-2002, 03:43 PM "^Kyo"
Either your just a newbie or you just cant read ! ! !
The post it not about encrypting the data its about how unprofessional it is ! ! ! !
If this is the case why ever renew it ? ?
Now you see my point, because that would not be PROFESSIONAL! ! !
DAAAAAAAAAAA
:D
Asher S 02-23-2002, 03:51 PM To he honest, no offense but you're the most unprofessional person I've met. Your exclamation points (! ! ! ! ! ! !) are exetremenly irratating and show your own lack of confidence in yourself. Secondly you love making useless posts about everyone and anyone you can catch hold of and dont even know. You should really change your attitude. But I guess your attitude is ok if you're a 13 yr old ;)

I agree. I use to throw him goats under the bridge. But I decided to stop feeding him. ;)
Equilibrium 02-23-2002, 04:03 PM ^Kyo - I'm not going to go their with you, really because I don't play with kids and to think the remarks you state about me was processional ! !! ! !! ! !
Anyway I don't have to be professional when making a post about companies using expires SSL Cert so I can add as much ! !! ! ! !! as I want but Wizards Hosting is providing a service to paying customer so you would expect if from them right?
But thanks for showing us that a 13 year old who uses allot of ! ! !! is just as unprofessional as Wizards Hosting who uses expired SSL Cert ! ! !!
RIGHT
Thanks
:)
Incognito 02-23-2002, 04:04 PM So, lets apply it to him.
I declare him an immature, childish, brat....all in favor, aye.
Suggest he returns to AOL....
Equilibrium 02-23-2002, 04:05 PM UmBillyCord
Still in comedy, because your always so funny.
:D
Equilibrium 02-23-2002, 04:05 PM aye
:D
Incognito 02-23-2002, 04:07 PM It is you we are voting on....you can't vote...you already know you are guilty.
Equilibrium 02-23-2002, 04:11 PM Incognito - Good One
However remember this post is about a company who uses expires SSL Cert
Otherwise I will report anything else to a moderator
And UmBillyCord you know I did it to you before or I can get Chicken to remind you ! ! !
Thanks:)
Incognito 02-23-2002, 04:15 PM I find Wizards to be very professional and am sure they have either just failed to properly update the information or otherwise overlooked it. However, as to your accusation that they are not secure, it is incorrect. And, when one questions the credibility of another, their own credibility always comes into play.
<Aside to UmbillyCord---haha...he ran and told his mommy you were picking on him>
UmBillyCord 02-23-2002, 04:19 PM And UmBillyCord you know I did it to you before or I can get Chicken to remind you ! ! !
You make me laugh. It makes my days of sending out past due notices and canceling delinquent accounts so much more entertaining when I can come here and read your post.
What did you do before? I must of been reading your polls when it happened.
Suggest he returns to AOL....
Banned from AOL, suggest he returns to MSN.......

Equilibrium 02-23-2002, 04:21 PM Incognito - I agree but something as important as an expired SSL cert should be of high priority!
I will not question Wizards Hosting professionalism but I think this should be rectify because If a new customer wants to signup this is the first thing they get "That the Cert has expired"
:) = Incognito
an expired ssl may be important, but its not as important as you might think. Lets say their order form is also encryption the data in the form itself with GPG - then they wouldn't even need an SSL.
Secondly, what about the people who use self signed SSL certs.
I don't see it being a hige issue as its only a month past due - there's a lot worse things that could have happened.
Chicken 02-23-2002, 04:52 PM It should be a priority however you could have just emailed Carlos and let him know that the cert. expired and that he may have overlooked it. The company that issued the cert. may also have screwed up, or the cert. wasn't installed correctly, or another one was installed but the links on the web pages point to the old one, or.... who knows. Anyhow, it is something that needs to be taken care of, but let's not be overly freaky about it.

There was a time when I actually gave a damm about people like you, not anymore. grow up first.
As for the others, thanks guys, we actually completely overlooked that (really, how often do you check on your own cert ;) ) .. so I was not aware that it was expired, the orders kept comign in, and nobody complaint, but it's good to know, and it will be fixed ASAP :)
Equilibrium 02-23-2002, 05:29 PM "There was a time when I actually gave a damm about people like you"

Incognito 02-23-2002, 05:48 PM Darn....(remember bahres doesn't allow use of that other word)...with the hosting companies I own and my resellers....I am in great risk...wish I knew his name so I could protect myself.
