Hi,

Are there any good scrips out there for the automatic creation of a new web user. I am running a member based website. When somebody signs up I want to be able to automatically have them set up with a website such as www.mydomain.com/username. Is there something out there that does this? I am running a Linux 7.1 server with Apache. Any help would be appreciated.

it depends.... I dont actually like auto creation scripts for several reasons


Someone auto creates an account during the middle of your sleepy time, and spams like crazy, porn / warez, etc
They use up a load of bandwidth in that one night
If you are going to charge for this, and they dont give you their credit card right away, and you give them like a leeway of 10 days, you've wasted 10 days of resources/bandwidth when that could have been used for profit.


I say do it manually... but I'm sure by doing a search in this forum, you'll find some answers.

Well, you need to give a little more detail... There are perl solutions like home free and a couple of other ones, which i cant remmeber :)
