I want to offer my members free e-mail, and I am looking for a good solution. I use phpbb and I have a script that can automatically create email-accounts in cPanel for every user, but there are some limitations with cPanels way of handling the mail accounts. Very few options (only disk quota) and I can't find any statistics at all except how much disk space they use, and there are no logfiles. It's also not possible to disable accounts without deleting them.

So I think I should use another program or script for this, but I have few members and everything will be on a shared host, not dedicated, so my choices seems limited. Hivemail is only for webmail, and I need POP as well. Socketmail needs a dedicated server for POP.

Accounts in cPanel could be enough if I don't have so many members, but maybe the site will grow in the future and I don't want to change to another system once started.
