Hi

I have an account with bestreseller.com which is generally fine but I find their support lacking & I think I may run into problems with them with my AWS/mod_rewrite sites which take up a lot of CPU power.

I thought that a reseller lite account from jodohost.com would suit my needs but I cant seem to get along with hsphere.

Could someone recommend a reseller with good support who wont close my account because of my processor-intensive sites? They need to allow unlimited domains & maybe 100gig/month of transfer, I dont need much webspace.

Thanks - pilks.

Pilkis check out the reseller advertisements forum, I think you may find what you need there.

Well depending on how processor intensive you are talking about, you might want to look at getting a VPS.

Whm and cpanel, I have a feeling you will get a large choice here on WHT. :) Happy hunting!

My Jodohost account offers VPS. I'm not too sure how VPS works, I guess it stands for Virtual Private Server. Can you suggest some further reading on VPS?

Thanks

It pretty much has the same functions as a dedicated server. You have root access and can run whatever you want on it as long as you are within the HOST TOS.

Here is some infomation on VPS.

HOST QUOTE (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/request.php) can be handy for finding hosts on WHT, especially if you have specific requirements.

One more point to add: support is also available on IM, via AOL and MSN.

Although I presume AWS is a script of some sort, Apache rewrites will not take up a lot of Server resources. The scripts might, depending upon how well or bad they are coded and the activity they receive.

A Reseller account sounds like a better choice than a VPS, because a VPS also means you need to know how to operate a Server and do assorted maintainence. And since there is no such thing as 'unlimited' Domain Hosting -- since that would require an 'unlimited' hard drive which hasn't been built yet ;) -- a Reseller account means you are only restricted by your amounts for Web space & Data transfer.

To help prevent problems with a future Hoster, you should find out just how much CPU resources your account is using. This would also apply to your Data transfer needs as 100 GB per month sounds really high, for one account. You can then explain the full situation beforehand and save going with a Hoster and having the same problems.

So far there's no issues with the CPU usage.

HSphere may appear more complicated, but it is definately more powerful and IMHO, provides a much better platform to launch a successful webhosting business. We have a step-by-step setup guide for our reseller plans (not all Hsphere hosts have that) so you may find Hsphere more convenient with us

Simply create VPS plans (you can take our VPS plans a model) like you'd create a Windows or Linux plan. You could then create accounts under them. You can find plenty of help on our support forum
