HI everyone, I need help.

I am thinking about becoming a web reseller what steps I need to do? Do I need to get a Tax ID, get a Business Bank account etc.... How would I do that ? If anyone have any suggestion please let me know. I am kinda in the dark on these stuffs.

It depends -

If you are doing it by yourself, then you can be a Sole Propriotership and your social security number would be all you would need. You could also use a personal checking account if you are only accepting credit cards.

Then you have to find the company you want to buy your reselling through.

There seems to be two types of resellers.

You resell their packages. You buy them at a discount, and sell them at your chosen price
You purchase a reselling account that comes with a large amount of space and bandwidth, and you then get the option to create your own packages.

To get your business launched, you need at least:

A reseller account.
A way to accept payments online.

A good way to accept payments would be either www.revecom.com or www.2checkout.com . As for taxes, etc. that depends on the state you are living in.

also make sure you research and make a biz plan..

don't get into this expecting fast cash - its going to take work - mostly on support.

I've read from a lot of people on WHT that support does matter - people seem to buy w/ the cheap hosts, and leave as customer support is terrible - but saying this, there are the few exceptions.

Remember, you get what you pay for - so make sure you research on who you will buy from, who you will target, how you will target them, etc...
