Does anyone know of any websites, preferably a discussion board like this one, that focuses on CC fraud from the merchant's point of view? I have much to learn and I don't want to clog this board with my naive questions. Our business is picking up lately, too, and while that's great, it also means the frauds are coming in too.
One other question: when you see a suspicious card and decide not to host them, do you notify them or do you just ignore them? I got an order today that didn't go through (it didn't say fraud, though) so I asked for alternative payment. Guy responds with a totally different cc, different state and everything. I can't trace the IP, really, since it's AOL and everything traces to Virginia. So now I have his second order, and no way am I charging it. I also don't feel an overwhelming need to politely notify him, but he'll probably e-mail soon anyway wondering where his info is. Ignore or respond?
Now you can see why I want the other discussion board. I have been looking on search engines, but most sites seem to deal with it from a card-holder point of view rather than the merchant POV.
Thanks. :D
