hello all,

i'm back with stupid questions. For our windows hosting customers we offer
the 'web data administrator' from microsoft to let them manage their mssql
databases but it is a bit crappy.
Now, whats better to use / the standard for this type service for ze customers?

Ours uses the EM actually. No complaints from them and they seem to like it

thnx for the reply,
i guess you mean Enterprise Manager, i've been phoning around and local
competition seems to use EM to so...
Now we'll just have to find out how to do this secure
(without letting everybody messing up everybodys dbases : p )

As long as you assign permissions correctly, then although the users will be able to see other databases, they'll only be able to access their own.

Of course if you or a customer grant incorrect access, then you'll have a problem :)

Yes - that is what I meant - Enterprise Manager. I actually thought that was the only thing - but I am always learning something new every day :) as well
