Is it true that Windows only supports 2 gigs of RAM? I just bought a DDR motherboard that supports 4 gigs of RAM, and I feel like maxorizing it to 4 gigs...I wanna run Windows 2000. Will I experience problems?

If you jump up to Advanced Server 2000 it will be able to recognize and use the 4. Of course with a price tag of oh $900+.. :D sjau 02-23-2002, 01:26 AM well, you could also assign 2GB as temporary hard drive where temporary files are written to.... would make it for many things a lot faster! I currently have 256MB rams as temporary drive assign. I do notice difference. It just depends on what you're using your comp for. |
