Is there any software like sourceforge.net. What i mean is if you wanted to run a site like sourceforge.net. Not a phpnuke site thats really not close..
Does sourceforge.net release there backend at all or does VALinux keep that under look and key?
Just some thing close would be good have never seen any thing close in all my looking.. :(

i've never liked sourceforge's search though... I hate how each search opens a new window... if you download it - rewrite that ;)
i'm pretty sure its open source... so yep, free :D

I believe savannah.gnu.org is a fork of the sourceforge codebase, which might be worth looking at (or not, I don't know too much about it). But the search doesn't open a new window :)

2.x of the SourceForge backend was open source, but with the 3.x backend it looks to be closed source, and you'd have to pay for it, I have a copy of 2.5 if you want it, just leave a post here and I'll upload it...
