Thanks Mike thewitt 02-22-2002, 06:48 PM You can find a list of OpenSRS resellers for .ca domains at: http://www.tucows.ca/calist.html -t HeReDaGo 02-22-2002, 07:04 PM CANADA's INDEPENDENT .CA RESOURCE (http://www.cadomain.com) The cheapest registrar are: - http://www.domainsatcost.ca/ $19.99 CAN - http://www.lowcostdomains.ca/ $ 19.95 CAN [NO SUPPORT PROVIDED] HeReDaGo stodge 02-22-2002, 07:10 PM Looks like DomainsAtCost might be to the one to use. They're definitely the cheapest. Thanks for the links. Angel78 02-23-2002, 07:21 AM Can people outside of canada register .ca domains? thewitt 02-23-2002, 08:42 AM You have to qualify as having a legal presense in Canada. Citizen, resident, partnership, corporate or trademark holder. There is a long list of actual requirements at the CIRA website. http://www.cira.ca/en/cat_Registration.html -t Angel78 02-23-2002, 08:47 AM noooooooooooo :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( HeReDaGo 02-23-2002, 05:17 PM CIRA is selling the .ca 15$ CAN so domainsatcost with 19$ CAN is the cheapest  rhizome 02-23-2002, 08:26 PM Originally posted by stodge Looks like DomainsAtCost might be to the one to use. They're definitely the cheapest. Their only drawback is 6-9 days response time via email questions. That seems pretty long, but not, I suppose, if you don't need their support. HeReDaGo 02-24-2002, 02:39 AM just ordered my first .ca today with domainsatcost so, WAIT&SEE! :eek4: Angel78 02-24-2002, 07:04 AM .ca namesare cool but as a non canadian i can not register them...that sucks :( rhizome 02-24-2002, 08:35 AM Originally posted by HeReDaGo just ordered my first .ca today with domainsatcost so, WAIT&SEE! :eek4: Let us know how long their domain processing takes. I'm curious given their long response times for inquiry emails. HeReDaGo 02-24-2002, 03:59 PM -=sorry for my bad english=- I registred the domain yesterday at 18h00 and when my host did the necessary change to host the new domain, it was already live. (~14h00) :) Everything worked smoothly, all the processes were automatic, the accreditation to the CIRA terms and everything so ... i'm pretty happy  btw, the domain is http://www.heredago.ca rhizome 02-24-2002, 09:37 PM That's pretty quick. Thanks for the info Heredago. Nice Chretienism by the way:) stodge 02-26-2002, 03:12 PM Edit: mistake. HeReDaGo 02-26-2002, 05:15 PM hmhm, I'm lost stodge 02-27-2002, 08:36 PM Well DomainsAtCost might be cheap, but their customer service isn't convincing me to buy through them. I sent off some questions yesterday and I've had no reply yet. Ok, so I'm impatient and expecting miracles!!! :P HeReDaGo 02-27-2002, 10:06 PM I didn't had to contact them at the moment but I also don't know why I would need their support... But if your searching a company with fast support, you might go somewhere else as ur saying but for me, price was the argument :) |
