Been in the biz since 1997, started with Alabanza, the best at the time and Cpanel has been the best option I have seen and used. Although, I have not used all the panels that are out today, namely, H-Sphere which I hear kicks butt.

Now, if you are only looking at just control panels, then do not look at H-Sphere which is pure automation that includes control panel services.

Comparing H-Sphere with cpanel, ensim, etc. just doesn't work well. That's like comparing a fully loaded limo with a moped.

I have used cPanel for over 3 years. cPanel is good and is very easy to use. Its administration interface, WHM is very powerful which will help you a great deal on your daily admin tasks.

The only thing that I don't like is once awhile its updates will break. This causes trouble since we all want to offer customers with complete satisfaction. There are ways to get around of course and if you are a good and careful sysadmin, you won't go wrong with choosing cPanel.

I am considering H-Shpere. The cluster I am setting up consists of 6 web servers: control panel, dns1, dns2, web, mysql/postgresql, and mail server.

dynamicnet, would you mind dropping me an input on this. On the DNS servers, I wouldn't need lots of disk space on those, would it? I will be using MyDNS.
