Hi everyone :D
I have a problem with my new VDS hosted domains using sendmail Version 8.11.6
Compiled with: LDAPMAP MAP_REGEX LOG MATCHGECOS MIME7TO8 MIME8TO7 NAMED_BIND NETINET NETINET6 NETUNIX NEWDB NIS QUEUE SASL SCANF SMTP TCPWRAPPERS USERDB
=========== SYSTEM IDENTITY (after readcf) ============
(short domain name) $w = server1
(canonical domain name) $j = server1.mydomain.com
(subdomain name) $m = mydomain.com
(node name) $k = server1.mydomain.com
==============================================
There are some bounced emails that is in my http@server1.mydomain.com and I am unable to determine who is the user sending those emails that bounced back and instead of going to the sender's hosted domain email... all it bounced to my httpd@HOSTNAME.
My questions are:
1. Is there any way to rewrite the Return-path: <user@userdomain.com> instead of httpd@HOSTNAME? I have tried on a php script that print the Return-path on the header but sendmail tends to overwrite it back to httpd@HOSTNAME :(
2. Is there any way to add headers on all outgoing emails for tracking abuse/spam purposes? e.g. from a script to send out email or using SMTP...
Many thanks in advance for those who take your precious time to reply :D
Kindest regards,
Choon
