i need a server that is reliable, not that pricey, has a pretty amount of space and a reliable amount of bandwidth. reliable, see what i mean??? and also subdomains :D

maybe phpwebhosting too. i need all the comments i can get so i can finally decide on a host!! feedback people!

I'm not a customer with any of the hosts you mentioned, so I can't say for sure. However, I've heard nothing but good things about myacen.com (do a search on them and you'll see what I mean). Aletia, well, there have been a few grumbles about them recently that I've read on the boards. Again, try the search tool to know more. ;)

I have been a customer of your-site.com for about two years (low traffic, personal site). I have to say that I have never had any problem at all. They leave me alone, I leave them alone -- and my site is always available, and the speed is good. They are very good about sending out messages about any scheduled downtime or any other problems out of the ordinary. Don't go looking for any fancy control panel here...this is real unix (sun) and you get a real telnet account (no chrooted jail) like an ensim (sic) configured machine. *** Any host where I can telnet into and type "pine" to read my email is always going to get a thumbs up from me.
