Potsie 02-22-2002, 01:26 PM I've actually been up and running for about two weeks. I took a shot at it since it was such a good price. He offered to set it up for me to test before comitting, which I thought took some courage for (as we had recently learned) such a young guy. The server is fine and he's/they've responded promptly to my questions. It IS Covad, so sometimes there are issues getting there from here (SF Bay Area), but the server itself is running fine. I would be able to do it for alot less a month considering the machine would only cost like $269 to build with the same specs as above.. Cogent only, single OC48 backbone, might explain why the site is down frequently. Cogent has great prices but not the most reliable at times and no redundancy means single point of failure. :( Good luck with you decision.. |
